New York

Saint-Gobain Ceramics & Plastics Inc. is planning to construct an estimated $41.5-million ceramic materials plant at the IDA Park in Wheatfield, N.Y. The phased project scope includes demolition of the former 350,000-sq-ft Bell Aerospace building; construction of a 125,000-sq-ft building; and purchase and installation of raw materials storage, crushing and mixing equipment, kilns, dust collectors, conveyors, and molding, extrusion, cooling and packaging equipment and systems. Demolition is expected to begin in the third or fourth quarter of 2025 pending city zoning approvals. The plant is expected to be operational in early 2028. Construction of an additional 175,000 sq ft is planned in a second phase. Saint-Gobain will use the facility to produce ceramic catalyst carriers for the energy, refining, biofuels and chemical manufacturing industries, as well as specialty industrial powders. North Carolina

Pennsylvania Transformer Technology Inc. is planning to construct a power transformer manufacturing plant on a 78-acre site in Raeford, N.C. The project scope includes construction of two buildings totaling 300,000 sq ft; installation of fabrication, rolling, forming, machining, welding, coating, finishing and assembly equipment; and purchase and installation of supporting equipment and systems. Construction is expected to begin in the first quarter of 2026. The plant will increase the company’s capacity to produce power and distribution transformers for the electric utility, municipal power, renewable energy and industrial markets. Wisconsin

Tiger Aesthetics Medical is planning to expand its medical device manufacturing plant in Franklin, Wis. Project scope includes construction of a 120,00-sq-ft building with cleanroom space, and installation of conveyors and molding, filling, finishing, sterilization and packaging equipment and systems. A construction schedule is being developed; project completion is expected in 2028. The estimated $50-million expansion will increase capacity to produce silicone gel breast implants and enable production of two new adipose cell and tissue products.
