Okland Construction has called Salt Lake City home for more than 100 years, and the general contractor has been steadily growing recently while continuing its tradition of building key landmark projects in the Intermountain area of Utah, Idaho and Montana. The firm reported $1.026 billion in regional revenue for 2024, and its ranking on the ENR Mountain States and Southwest region’s inaugural Top Contractors List will be unveiled in the Aug. 25 issue of the magazine.

A few of the contractor’s recent projects include the new Ballpark at America First Square and Larry H. Miller Megaplex in downtown Daybreak, Utah; a renovation of the Delta Center Arena for the Utah Jazz and Utah Mammoth in Salt Lake City; and the construction of several high-profile buildings on the University of Utah campus. The contractor is nearing completion on the North Capitol Building project, which will host a state history museum and offices on the Capitol complex grounds in Salt Lake City.

When they weren’t busy constructing regional icons, Okland employees logged more than 17,000 volunteer service hours during the past year. The contractor also works with organizations that support women in construction and invests in education by funding scholarships and supporting trade programs for the next generation.

Firms of the Year are chosen by a vote of the regional ENR editors
from across the country based on a carefully selected group of
finalists. Factors include revenue growth, new initiatives, current
projects, community and industry contributions and other considerations.

A
story on Okland will appear in the Aug. 25 print issue of ENR
Mountain States and Southwest, which will also feature our inaugural ranking of the top construction firms from across the recently-merged seven-state region of
Arizona, Colorado, Idaho, Montana, New Mexico, Utah and Wyoming. You can see a preliminary list of those firms in our June 24 preview blog here
