Mountain States & Southwest People: June 2025


Nadine Hensler has been named CEO at CRP Architects in Colorado Springs. Hensler’s previous roles include senior business development manager for GE Johnson and business development leader for DLR Group. She serves on the Colorado Springs Planning Commission and the city’s Downtown Review Board.

Matt Brinkman

Burns & McDonnell has promoted Matt Brinkman to director of operations for the Southwest region, where he will support operations for a nearly 300-person team delivering integrated engineering and construction solutions in the firm’s power, transmission and distribution and mining sectors. Brinkman became vice president in 2023 and most recently served as power group manager for the Southwest team.

Derek Varnell has been named vice president of data centers at Encore Electric. Varnell has been with Encore Electric for 18 years and has been a leader in the development of data centers in Northern Colorado and Wyoming.

Chad Buck

Sundt Construction has promoted Chad Buck to president of the company’s building group. He replaces Teri Jones, who will stay on with the company in an advisory role until she retires on Sept. 30. Buck joined Sundt in 2009 and has contributed to the company’s growth as preconstruction manager, power and mining sector manager and, most recently, senior vice president and district manager for the building group, Southwest district. He is actively involved in industry organizations, including the Arizona Builders Alliance and the Associated General Contractors of America. Sundt also announced that Stew Grauer is the new Southwest district manager for the firm’s building group. He will oversee preconstruction, operations and business development for Arizona, New Mexico and Texas. Grauer joined Sundt in 2009.

Lynne Orlowski

Lynne Orlowski has been promoted to principal in the Phoenix office of Ware Malcomb. She will continue to lead the interior architecture and design studio’s growth in the region. Since joining the firm in 2015, she has successfully managed a variety of office, health care and industrial interiors projects.

Dibble Engineering has promoted Steven Siroky to team leader within the firm’s utilities business unit. He led the Marina Bay Sands Sky Park Pool project and multiple complex sewer rehabilitation programs for Phoenix and Tempe, Ariz. He has also been involved with the Phoenix Sanitary Sewer Rehabilitation Program and the pioneering Manhole Rehabilitation AI Program.

Atlas Technical Consultants named Lytle Troutt as president of its environmental business. Troutt has more than 30 years of experience in the environmental sector, including remediation, compliance, management, health, nuclear compliance and sustainability.

RS&H has promoted Alex McKean to division leader for aviation in the Mountain States and Northwest regions. Since joining RS&H 20 years ago as one of the first associates in the Denver office, McKean has been instrumental in leading the design and construction of many airport infrastructure projects, including the Colorado Springs Airport and Denver International Airport.

Howell Construction has promoted Chris Bernhardy to the position of preconstruction manager. Bernhardy joined Howell Construction in 2022 as an estimator.

Telgian Engineering & Consulting recently expanded into the Denver market and hired fire protection and life safety engineer Paul Seifert as its regional practice leader.

Mike Louie has joined Deacon Construction as business development manager for its Boise office. Louie brings more than 20 years of experience in Idaho’s real estate and development sectors.
