For its use of advanced technologies, community involvement and forward-thinking mindset, IMC Construction has been named the 2025 ENR MidAtlantic Contractor of the Year,
One of the nation’s largest minority-owned commercial contractors, it will be recognized in the July print issue of ENR East, which will also include the ENR East Top Contractor rankings.
The ENR East ranking of contractors includes firms doing business in Connecticut, Delaware, Washington, D.C., Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Vermont, Virginia and West Virginia. Rankings are based on total regional revenue of design services of participating companies, also including breakouts by state revenue and various design specialties and disciplines, as applicable.
The new ranking follows the 2025 consolidation of ENR regional editions into five new regions to reflects an ongoing commitment to deliver the most relevant and timely coverage to readers, in alignment with the evolving landscape of the construction industry. The Contractor of the Year recognition goes to a company that demonstrates success in the region from a growth and revenue standpoint as well as in innovation, creativity and commitment to its community.
The Malvern, Pa.-based firm says its use of advanced technologies—including real-time data platforms and emerging AI-powered tools that enhance planning, streamline coordination and proactively mitigate risk—drive efficiency, improve cost and schedule certainty, support schedule reliability and has helped the firm achieve an 80% repeat business rate.
The firm has long-term, collaborative partnerships with clients and subcontractors and was named one of the 2024 Best Places to Work in New Jersey by NJBIZ magazine.
The IMC Charitable Foundation provides philanthropic giving to help and empower nonprofit organizations and has assisted more than 128 local non-profits and distributed more than $1.7 million in funding to date. It also partners with Community Design Collaborative, an organization that provides volunteer design/budgeting services for non-profit organizations in Philadelphia, and employees are active in the ACE Mentor Program,

Brightview Senior Living Joy Farm
The Brightview Senior Living Joy Farm project is a $65.3 million senior living development underway in Paramus, N.J. Groundbreaking took place in March 2025, with vertical construction scheduled to begin in July and structural topping out expected by January 2026. Built atop more than 1,000 Geopiers, the project also includes the installation of roadways and infrastructure to support an adjacent development–adding another layer of complexity. Persistent heavy rain and muddy conditions have posed challenges, requiring ongoing water management. Drone scans have proven essential for monitoring dynamic site conditions resulting from earlier excavation. The project team includes Brightview Senior Living, JK Farm and Realty and Market Square Associates. -
J Centra Burlington
J Centra Burlington is a $106.1 million residential development by Jefferson Apartment Group, designed by Bernardon and spanning approximately 618,000 sq ft across 45 acres in Burlington, N.J. The project features a mix of wood-framed, garden-style residential buildings, including three four-story buildings with 144 units, eleven three-story “breezeway” walk-up buildings housing 308 units, and six townhouse-style structures comprising 48 additional units. Enhancing the community experience, the development also includes a two-story clubhouse with an exterior pool and amenity area, a fitness center, a maintenance and storage facility, and 15 single-story garage structures with 128 garages. -
The Kempson, 212 Durham Avenue
The Kempson at 212 Durham Avenue in Metuchen, NJ, is a $65 million multifamily residential project developed by Klein Enterprises and designed by J Davis Architects. Spanning 360,250 square feet on an eight-acre site, the five-story building features 278 modern apartments built atop a concrete foundation with four levels of wood-framed construction above. The ground level accommodates parking, resident amenities, service areas, and select units, and the exterior combines fiber cement panels, full-width brick, and decorative trim for a contemporary appearance. Residents benefit from upscale amenities including a fifth-floor sky lounge and terrace, and a central courtyard with a resort-style pool, fire pits, gas grills, and pergolas, fostering a vibrant and inviting community space.
Last year, IMC ranked No. 27 on the ENR MidAtlantic Top Contractor survey with $349.51 million in 2023 revenue.
