ENR Mountain States and Southwest has selected CSHQA of Boise, Idaho, as Intermountain Design Firm of the Year. The employee-owned architecture, engineering, landscape, historic
preservation and interior design firm has been around 136 years and is
the oldest design firm in Idaho.

Firms of the Year are chosen by a vote of the regional ENR editors from across the country based on a carefully selected group of finalists. Factors include regional revenues, new initiatives, current projects, community and industry contributions and other considerations. The ENR Intermountain area includes Idaho, Utah and Montana.

A leader in energy-efficient and sustainable designs, CSHQA is an early adopter of predictive modeling and high-end rendering techniques that enable its designers to visualize projects with remarkable accuracy and detail. Recent key projects include, the Hotel Renegade and The Sparrow, two new new hotels in downtown Boise; the Idaho Air National Guard Medical Training Facility, Gowen Field, Idaho; statewide housing for the Idaho Parks and Recreation Department; and the Twin Falls County Theron W. Ward Judicial Building Remodel and Expansion in Twin Falls, Idaho.

A story on CSHQA will appear in the June 23 print issue of ENR Mountain States and Southwest, which will also feature our annual ranking of the top design firms across the seven-state region of Arizona, Colorado, Idaho, Montana, New Mexico, Utah and Wyoming.
