Evans General Contractors has been keeping more than busy the last several years. For example, a year ago the Alpharetta, Ga.-based contractor reported $1.895 billion in 2023 revenue from the ENR Southeast sub-region, which includes Florida, Georgia, Alabama, the Carolinas and Tennessee, giving it a regional ranking of 9th overall.

This year, the company reported $2.15 billion in regional revenue, and $2.3 billion in overall revenue, the latter of which landed Evans at 56th nationally, according to ENR’s 2025 Top 400 Contractors ranking. Where it ranks on ENR Texas & Southeast’s inaugural Top Contractors ranking will be unveiled with its publication on Aug. 11.

When submitting its ENR Texas & Southeast Top Contractors survey this year, Evans included its self-nomination for Contractor of the Year. There, the contractor touted its safety record—among other items—noting that for the third year in a row it had been recognized as a Top Workplaces USA recipient, and had earned an ABC Platinum Step award with over 1 million man hours worked and zero recordable incidents for the year.

Among the projects Evans noted to ENR in its self-nomination was the Georgia Steamship Terminal Redevelopment project for the Georgia Ports Authority; an eVTOL (electric vehicle take-off and landing) facility for Archer Aviation; a battery manufacturing campus for BMW; and “several” hyperscale data centers across the country.

Additionally, the company noted that it maintains an office in Friedrichshafen, Germany, that, it says, “acts as a catalyst for business development, growth and sustainability, helping international clients navigate the complexities of entering the U.S. market.”

For these reasons and more, ENR Texas & Southeast recognizes Evans General Contractors as the 2025 ENR Southeast Contractor of the Year. In the upcoming Aug. 11 print edition of ENR Texas & Southeast, we’ll publish a profile of the company, which will include information about Evans’ past accomplishments as well as its perspective on succeeding in today’s construction industry.
