INDIANA

Prometheus Energetics and the American Center for Manufacturing & Innovation are planning to construct a defense products and munitions manufacturing campus on a 550-acre site in Bloomfield. Project scope includes construction of multiple buildings; and purchase and installation of machining, forming, welding, loading, testing and packaging equipment and systems. Construction is expected to begin in the third or fourth quarter of 2025. Prometheus Energetics, a joint venture between Kratos Defense & Security Solutions, Inc. and RAFAEL Advanced Defense Systems Ltd., will use the plant to produce solid rocket motors, energetics and munitions for the U.S. military. KANSAS

Evergy, Inc. is planning to construct two natural gas-fired combined-cycle power plants in Sumner and Reno counties. Scopes include construction of building space; purchase and erection of structural steel and fuel storage tanks; and purchase and installation of gas turbine and generator sets, heat recovery steam generators, steam turbine and generator sets, water treatment and storage systems, cooling towers, transformers, switchgear and emissions control equipment. Each plant will have the capacity to generate 705 MW of electric power. A firm will be selected to provide design engineering, procurement and construction services in the second quarter of 2025. Construction of the Sumner County plant is expected to begin in mid-2026 and on the Reno County plant in mid-2027. OHIO

First Quality Enterprises, Inc. is planning to construct a paper towel and tissue plant on a 1,000-acre site in the Baltimore Avenue Industrial Corridor in Defiance. The phased project scope includes design and construction of 1.6 million sq ft of building space; construction of equipment foundations; installation of two thru-air-dried paper machines and converting lines; and purchase and installation of winding, handling and packaging equipment and systems.
