“Phoenix is one of the nation’s hottest construction markets,” Rowley says. “We see that growth continuing through the end of the year and probably well beyond.”
Rowley says growth is being driven by a number of factors, “one of which is the large number of companies looking to move to Arizona thanks to its favorable business climate.”
“In addition, Phoenix is quickly becoming a high-tech manufacturing and data center hub, and the growing population is fueling a booming housing market along with investment in sports and entertainment facilities and other infrastructure” he says. “All of this is fueling a demand for construction services unlike anything I’ve seen in my career.”
Sundt is building the region’s two largest water projects—Cave Creek Water Reclamation Plant Rehabilitation and the town of Gilbert’s North Water Treatment Plant Facility Upgrades and Reconstruction—to help address Arizona’s growing demand for water. Several large infrastructure projects are planned or underway, including Sundt’s Santan Loop 202 Freeway widening project in the nearby city of Chandler, he adds.
